Crafting With Stamps

 

Stamping is a popular crafting technique that has been around for many years. It involves the use of rubber stamps, ink pads, and paper to create unique designs and patterns. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced crafter, there are endless possibilities when it comes to stamping.

I recently got these acrylic shelves to store my stamps and I love them!  I am able to see everything in a quick glance, no more digging to get the perfect one.

One of the great things about stamping is that it is a relatively inexpensive hobby. You can purchase rubber stamps and ink pads at most craft stores for a reasonable price. Additionally, you can use the same stamp over and over again to create different designs and color combinations.  I have lucked out and found a bunch of Stampin' Up stamps at a local craft reuse center for super cheap.

Another benefit of stamping is that it is a very versatile technique. You can use stamps to decorate cards, scrapbook pages, gift tags, and more. You can also experiment with different types of ink, such as metallic, pigment, or chalk, to achieve different effects.  Once the ink is dry you can also use markers and coloring in the design.  Another technique that has beautiful results in embossing.  This requires some additional supplies and I have found it to be a little messy but the final product is really cool.

With a little practice, you can create beautiful and unique designs that are sure to impress your friends and family.
